How do you describe yourself?

Always be happy, hopeful, and energetic

What do you want to be when you’re still a child? Why?

I want to be a police because I think it’s cool to hold a gun to chase bad guys

What makes you work in SRHR field? Why?

When I had info through peer education at the first time, I got some information that there is a lot of girls under 16 years old perform abortion more than once which in some cases cause them to have difficulties to get pregnant in the future. At that time, I decided to change the situation in China

How long have you been working within your MA – CFPA?

Three years

What is your role within your MA – CFPA?

I am the core member of CYN – China Youth Network, supported by my MA, CFPA

What is the ideal world for young people’s SRHR that you imagine and could be realistic within your country?

All young people’s voices are heard and all young people enjoy their sexual lives free from ill-health, unintended pregnancy, violence, and discrimination. I believe this could be realistic one day

What is the biggest challenge in working with your MA?

We have a good youth-adult partnership between China Youth Network and CFPA. We have a lot of discussion, share experiences, and decide together

What is the most memorable moment during working with your MA?

We planned and organized our first summer camp and gathered young people from 30 provinces in China who work in sexual and reproductive health and rights field

What specific issue in young people’s sexual and reproductive health and rights that interest you most? Why?

HIV and AIDS. I was involved in a conference about health care problem of people living with HIV and AIDS. I met several of them and talked to them which make me know the importance to eliminate the discrimination
